Ahmed Reza, CFA®
Ahmed brings over three decades of progressively responsible experience in the investment banking, multilateral development finance and the Telco/Digital/ICT industries in multiple countries. His former employers include Jardine Fleming Securities (now JP Morgan), Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, Arif Habib Group and stc Saudi Telecom.
He has advised on M&A/JV/strategic investment transactions exceeding US$ 6 billion in value, and has managed large portfolios of debt and equity investments, sell-side and buy-side research on equities, and IPOs. He also has extensive experience of developing and managing policy, strategy, risk management, and performance attribution frameworks, as well as of business development, and catalytic investments for development finance and Public-Private-Partnerships.
Ahmed’s corporate governance exposure was both as an executive and as a nominee director. He was the CEO of a stock-exchange listed investment bank/securities broker and of an exchange-listed closed-ended mutual fund. He served as an institutional-investor nominated director on the boards of 9 investee companies operating across different sectors – investment banking, securities, private equity/venture capital, leasing, port terminals, agrochemicals and development finance.
Ahmed holds the CFA® Charter, MBA, and MSc (Econs) in Accounting & Finance as a Britannia Chevening Scholar at the London School of Economics & Political Science.
